At J.S. International School, we recognize parents’ role as partners in the education of the children in our care.
We strive to create an environment where parents feel welcome and valued and where a high level of trust exists between school and home. Through out their education, it is crucial that children see their parents and teachers in mutually respectful, supportive roles.
Parent Teacher Association (PTA)
The Parent Teacher Association (PTA) are an essential part of the running of and supporting JSIS in its school spirit and community building. The executive committee of the PTA supports different school activities. It also plans social events for the school community.
Parent As Partners & Education Sessions
Over the course of the school year, there will be several occasions for parents to come into school to attend workshops and information sessions on different aspects of education. The goal is to gain a better understanding of current practices and also give parents strategies to support their children at home.
Parent as Partners Sessions are ways for parents to stay up-to-date with information. Principal often invited to discuss daily life in an Elementary and Middle Schools. To know about the new initiatives, they can join the open sessions with the Board of Trustees or attend the Head of School’s Hall meeting to discuss the school’s new strategies.
We offer plenty of opportunities to learn about our school, culture, and vision. Parents are encouraged to contribute their time and talent to our community.
